It also works on Macintosh systems 7.1 through 9.x (I do not know if it works on OS X). Canon Photography Workshop is a remarkable interactive tool that enables you to learn and practice picture-taking techniques -- no camera required. This program covers everything from the basics to pro tips. You will learn about lighting, perspective, and composition, as well as the technical aspects of cameras and photography. And with this CD-ROM, you literally learn by doing. For example, you are presented with various scenes, and you get to take pictures of parts of each scene. (This gives you instant feedback on what does and does not work.) You also get to manipulate lighting, focal point, exposure, lens aperture, shutter speed, filters, and lens magnification. You can learn more in a single session with this software than you would learn in months or even years on your own.
